How to Deal with Passive Aggressive Toxic behaviour in the Workplace

COURSE OVERVIEW

An in person workshop to help you deal with passive-aggressive toxic behaviour in the workplace

Do you experience passive-aggressive behaviour in your workplace?

Do you feel powerless in dealing with toxic colleagues and line managers?

Passive-Aggressive and Toxic Behaviour in the workplace affects wellbeing, mental health and productivity.

We spent a great deal of our time at work. This means that we are actually spending a great deal of time feeling stressed, repressed, upset and ill at ease.

Many people who face toxic work environments feel powerless in dealing with it. This is mainly because while we may feel and experience toxicity we find ourselves unable to recognise, describe or identify it. Whether directed towards us by a colleague, line manager or even the company boss, we feel its effects but often find ourselves unable powerless to defend against it.

The thing is….

Recognition and identification are crucial first steps in being able to develop a toolset and a methodology for effectively dealing with it and thus, for gaining power over it.

Without the language or indeed an understanding of how and when passive aggressive behaviour or toxic communication emerges, we risk not being able to protect ourselves from the pain inflicted. Therefore, we cannot prevent the mental and emotional toll toxicity has on our bodies, minds and psychological well-being.

To help address this complex and yet commonplace experience, we’ve designed a one-day workshop to help professionals who experience passive-aggressive behaviour and toxic interpersonal communication in the workplace cope more effectively.

Designed to be a decisive first step into gaining control over workplace toxicity, over the course of one day, attendees will be taught to recognise patterns of passive-aggressive behaviours and will learn how to respond appropriately to it.

The workshop we will work through exercises to help demystify passive-aggressiveness so that it can be rendered increasingly more harmless to those who experience it routinely. Through specially designed exercises informed by the field of Emotion Psychology and Neuroscience you will also learn how to be less affected by it without resorting to repressing your emotions and shutting down.
